Skin Rejuvenation
DIY At-Home IPL Skin Rejuvenation
Pigmentation that creams never quite fade. Uneven tone, dullness, texture, and the first visible signs of ageing. IPL skin rejuvenation works beneath the surface, where those concerns actually live, using gentle pulses of light to fragment pigment and boost collagen production for smoother, clearer, more youthful-looking skin.
IPL Skin Rejuvenation.
IPL Skin Rejuvenation can help say goodbye to the effects of sun damage, rosacea, pigmentation, and more. With the innovative Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Skin rejuvenation procedure, gentle skin rejuvenation is now easier than ever. IPL Skin Rejuvenation transforms red or brown blotchy skin into a radiant complexion. IPL treatments can also help to improve skin texture, by stimulating collagen growth.
The skin story you can rewrite.
These concerns live deeper than creams can reach. Light reaches them.
Pigmentation & sunspots
Years of South African sun leave their signature as dark marks and sunspots. Concealer covers them for a day. IPL targets the pigment itself, fragmenting it so your body can clear it naturally.
Uneven tone
Blotchy, patchy colour that makes skin look tired even when you are not. Light energy is absorbed precisely where tone is uneven, softening the contrast treatment by treatment.
Dullness
When skin stops reflecting light evenly, it reads as flat and lifeless. By stimulating fresh collagen, IPL helps restore the smooth surface that gives skin its natural radiance.
Redness & rosacea
Flushed cheeks and visible capillaries that flare at the worst moments. The green-to-yellow band of IPL light is absorbed by haemoglobin, helping reduce visible redness at its source.
Texture & acne scars
Rough patches, enlarged pores and the marks breakouts leave behind. Collagen stimulation smooths texture gradually, from within, without needles or downtime.
Visible signs of ageing
Fine lines arrive as collagen production slows. IPL gently signals the fibroblast cells that make collagen and elastin to get back to work, supporting firmer, more youthful-looking skin over time.
What IPL Skin Rejuvenation mode can assist with.
How does IPL Skin Rejuvenation work?
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) delivers high intensity, controlled pulses of light that penetrate the skin and are absorbed precisely by the problem areas, the pigmentation or facial veins, causing them to fragment while also stimulating the formation of collagen and elastin. IPL encourages the production of collagen, a natural protein, leaving the skin smooth and supple.
In plain terms: the light passes harmlessly through healthy skin and is absorbed only where there is something to absorb it. Melanin in a sunspot, or haemoglobin in a visible capillary, soaks up the light energy and converts it to heat. That heat breaks the target down so your body can clear it, and at the same time gently signals the fibroblast cells in the dermis, the cells that manufacture collagen and elastin, to increase production.

Absorb
Pulses of filtered light pass into the skin and are absorbed by pigment and haemoglobin in the problem areas.
Fragment
The absorbed energy becomes gentle heat that breaks the target down, so your body can naturally clear it away.
Rebuild
The same warmth stimulates fibroblasts to produce fresh collagen and elastin for smoother, firmer, more radiant skin.
Why wavelength matters.
Not all IPL is the same. The wavelengths a device emits decide exactly what its light can reach and treat, and the energy behind them decides how strongly.
Lumilia Lux™ SR · 560–1200nm
The proven, classic IPL approach. A quartz filter blocks everything below 560nm, then releases a wide band of light that works at multiple depths of the skin at once. The shorter wavelengths gently target surface pigment, while the longer waves travel deeper into the dermis, creating mild thermal warmth that steadily triggers fibroblasts to produce collagen over time. Gentle, gradual and dependable, with results that build across consistent sessions.
GlacierX™ TrueSR™ · 500–650nm
The dedicated TrueSR™ lamp head takes a different path: sophisticated filtering compresses the light into a strict 500–650nm band. Instead of spreading its energy across the full spectrum, it concentrates it exactly where melanin and haemoglobin absorption peak, the green-to-yellow band around 532–540nm for redness and visible capillaries, and the region around 600nm for stubborn pigmentation and sunspots. More concentrated energy on target means stronger treatments and faster visible results.
Concentrated light means concentrated warmth, which is why the GlacierX™ pairs TrueSR™ with FrostX™ Sapphire Ice Cooling: the sapphire window chills the skin's surface to around 4°C on contact, keeping every high-energy flash comfortable and completely pain free.

Before and after your treatment.
Pre-Treatment Care
- Avoid natural and artificial tanning, including self-tanner and spray tans, 1 week prior to your treatment.
- Discontinue the use of Retin-A, Retinol, glycolics, bleaching creams, and exfoliants on the treatment area one week prior.
- Gently cleanse the area, removing all makeup and lotions before treatment.
Post-Treatment Care
- We recommend using an aloe vera gel or any fragrance-free moisturiser after treatment. Apply a cold compress, not ice, to help reduce redness and swelling.
- Do not pick or scratch any darkened, pigmented areas that begin to flake.
- Avoid natural and artificial tanning, including self-tanner and spray tans, for a minimum of 1 week.
- Apply a minimum SPF 45 (UVA/UVB) sunblock after your treatment and avoid direct sunlight on the area for 24-48 hours.
- Use gentle cleansers with lukewarm water. Do not rub skin vigorously. Moisturiser may be applied.
