You should not IPL over tattoos. The light energy will be more attracted to the pigments in the skin, rather than the melanin in the hair which can cause a reaction in the skin and blister. You should always go around your tattoos.

Great for hair removal
The Lumilia works brilliantly for hair removal . I’m thrilled at the results. Unfortunately I’ve seen no results from the skin rejuvenating setting and no improvement on veins . Anyway I’m very happy to be nearly hair free ! I used it twice a week for the first few weeks and just need to touch up one or two spots but hair is mostly gone .

I used the Lumilia Lux handset twice a week after shaving, and had good results on my thick leg hairs within 4 weeks. The hairs became thinner and less dense, they started growing at a slower rate, and I did not experience any irritation during the growth phase (unlike with shaving or waxing). I've had a good result with my upper lip and chin, too. I did not notice any major difference in underarm and bikini areas after 8-12 weeks. Coarser hairs do require more time and regular sessions to achieve a result (also more sensitive so usually a lower setting is needed, meaning it'll take longer to achieve the same result), so I'll keep going with the treatment. Easy enough to incorporate into any existing weekly grooming routine. I would recommend the device.
