How To Use
How to glow,
in eight gentle steps.
Welcome to your at home IPL routine. A simple, light powered process you can do at your own pace, in your own bathroom. Watch the tutorial below, or scroll straight into the guide.
Two minutes, then you've got this.
The quickest way to feel confident with your Lux is to watch it in action. Make a cup of tea, settle in, and we will walk you through it.
Your step by step guide.
Four simple phases, eight gentle steps. Take it at your own pace, the Lux is patient.
Prepare your skin.
Shave first.
Shave the area you plan to treat. The light targets hair at the root, so a freshly shaved surface lets it work properly. No need for waxing or plucking, in fact please don't, the Lux needs that root to do its job.
Cleanse and dry.
Skin should be clean, dry and bare. Remove any makeup, lotion or fake tan first, as products can block the light from reaching the follicle. A fresh, naked canvas is what your Lux needs to do its best work.
Set up your device.
Power on.
Plug in the adapter and hold the power button for three seconds. Wait for the menu screen to load.
Pick your mode.
You will start in Hair Removal by default. To switch into Skin Rejuvenation, hold the top button and the power button together for three seconds. Your current mode shows on screen as HR or SR.
Set your intensity.
Hair Removal offers eight intensity levels. Begin gently at level 1 or 2 for your first session, then build up as your skin grows comfortable. Skin Rejuvenation uses one soft setting, level 1.
Treat your skin.
Flash the area.
Place the device flat against your skin and press the flash button to release a pulse. Slip on the included safety glasses before you begin, your eyes will thank you.
Glide with Auto Mode.
For larger areas like legs and arms, switch into Automatic Mode. The device flashes on contact, so you can glide it along for smooth, continuous coverage. Keep this setting for big areas only.
Finish up.
Finish and power down.
Flash each spot once or twice per session, never more. Two to three sessions a week tends to give the most comfortable rhythm. When you are done, hold the power button to switch off safely. That's it.
Two modes, two routines.
The Lux is a two in one tool. Master both and you have a complete at home treatment ritual.

For smoother skin.
Use the device two to three times a week for the first four to eight weeks. After that, the occasional session is all you need to keep things smooth.
- Two gentle passes per area is the sweet spot.
- The Lux is gentle enough for the upper lip and chin.
- The full bikini area is fair game too.
- A warm prickling sensation is completely normal. It should not hurt.

For glowing skin.
Use this mode two to three times a week. It is especially popular for the face, where it tends to help tone and texture look smoother over time.
- Particularly loved for the cheeks and forehead.
- Always level 1, gentle and steady.
- Best results come with consistency.
Will the Lux work for you?
Tap the swatch closest to your tone. The Lux works beautifully across the Fitzpatrick scale, with one exception we'll be honest about.
Medium
The most common tone globally. Sometimes burns, gradually tans to a light brown. Often paired with darker eyes and chestnut or dark brown hair.
Start at level 1 or 2 for your first session, then build up to level 6 over time as your skin grows comfortable.
The darker the hair, the better.
IPL works by targeting melanin in the hair root. The more melanin, the better the result. Lighter shades simply don't give the light enough to grip onto.
