Lumilia GlacierX™

Lumilia GlacierX™ uses IPL light to target the pigment in the hair root. The light turns into gentle heat inside the follicle and slows down its ability to grow new hair. FrostX™ Sapphire Ice Cooling instantly cools the treatment window so the skin feels calm and comfortable instead of hot.

GlacierX™ works best on natural dark blonde, light-medium brown and black hair on light to medium skin tones. Like all IPL, it is not suitable for very dark skin or for white, grey, red or very light blonde hair. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have epilepsy, cancer, are using photosensitising medication or have a serious skin condition, you should speak to your doctor before using any IPL device.

Most people treat each area two times a week for eight to twelve weeks. You usually notice softer and slower regrowth within the first few weeks, with smooth results building over time. After that you only need quick top up sessions every four to eight weeks, or whenever you see hairs returning.

Most users describe the feeling as a warm flick or tiny elastic snap. FrostX™ Sapphire Ice Cooling chills the glass before every flash so the skin feels cool and calm during the treatment. If you are nervous, simply start on a lower level and move up as you feel comfortable.

Lumilia GlacierX™ is our most powerful IPL so far and is designed to give results that feel much closer to a clinic treatment than a typical at home handset. With consistent use many people see a very big reduction in eight to twelve weeks and some areas stay smooth for months at a time. When hairs do grow back they are usually lighter, finer and far more sparse.

Results will always depend on things like hormones, hair growth cycle, skin tone and hair colour, so no IPL can promise that every single hair will disappear forever. GlacierX™ takes you as close as you can realistically get at home, and then you simply do quick top up sessions every month or two to keep the smooth results going.

Yes. You can use GlacierX™ on the face, underarms, arms, legs, bikini line and pubic area. Do not use it on the inner labia, genitals, inside the nose or ears. Always shave first, make sure the skin is clean and dry, and use eye protection when treating near the face.

Each Lumilia GlacierX™ smart head is loaded with 1 000 000 flashes, enough for many years of use. When you eventually need more, you simply replace the smart head, not the whole handset. There are no gels, cartridges or surprise refills. Extra heads are optional if you want more lifespan or want to add TrueSR™ Skin Rejuvenation or ClearAC™ Acne Care.

The Smart Skin Sensor reads your skin tone and the area you are treating and then sets a safe starting level for you. You still have ten manual intensity levels if you want to adjust it, but the sensor removes the guesswork and keeps everyday use simple and safe.

Avoid using IPL on sunburnt skin, very fresh tans or immediately after strong sun exposure because the skin is more reactive. Do not flash directly over tattoos, dark moles or permanent make up. Always work around them so that the light is attracted to the hair pigment and not to the ink.
